Anthony J. Oviedo Aguinagalde is a Venezuelan violist, conductor, and music educator currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Music Education at Temple University. His work focuses on expanding access to instrumental music education, especially for multilingual and underserved communities.

Anthony has taught in school and community music programs in Venezuela, Chicago, New York City, and Philadelphia, including El Sistema-inspired settings. He is currently preparing to lead band and orchestra at Roberto Clemente Middle School in Philadelphia, where he hopes to build a strong, inclusive instrumental music program. As a performer and educator, Anthony is committed to connecting musical tradition with students’ lived experiences, cultural identities, and community contexts.
